Tyler Fairey is Chief Operations Officer at Meilinger CPA, where he leads the firm’s M&A Advisory and Client Advisory Services practices. He is passionate about helping business owners grow their companies by building systems and processes that create operational efficiency, financial clarity, and scalable infrastructure.

Tyler brings an operator’s perspective to his advisory work, shaped by experience as a business owner, operational leader, and sell-side M&A advisor. He founded and built a transportation, warehousing, and third-party logistics company, growing the business into a multi-location operation across South Carolina before it was successfully acquired after 19 years of ownership. This experience continues to shape his practical, hands-on approach to helping business owners scale and prepare for transition.

Tyler later led sell-side advisory engagements at Viking Mergers & Acquisitions, supporting business owners through the full transaction lifecycle, including qualitative analysis, valuation, buyer positioning, LOI negotiation, and leading due diligence through close.

He was subsequently brought in by Envest Capital as Director of Operational Growth for a $40 million HVAC contractor, where he restructured the service department, stabilized the workforce, and improved operational efficiency to better capture service demand. During his tenure, the company expanded its workforce by 40% and reduced field employee turnover from 80% to 36%, significantly improving operational performance and scalability.

Today, Tyler works closely with business owners across construction, trades, professional services, and industrial sectors, helping them improve profitability, scale operations, and position their businesses for long-term growth or exit. He is known for his practical leadership style, operator’s mindset, and ability to translate complex financial and operational challenges into clear, actionable strategies.
